A Week in the Wilds

One of the aspects that I just love about Scotland is the dramatic scenery and varied countryside. You can be up in the mountains one minute then come down to beautiful loch side scenery and wherever you go outside of the main cities, the country is blessed with a variety of flora and fauna.

Scotland is best explored at leisure to really make the most of your time there so travelling in a car or Lunar caravans is perfect as you can take off where you want and when you want.

You can head up into the Highlands one day, where you will come across waterfalls and peaks, then choose to visit the coast another day where you can gaze out into the beautiful Firths, with some of the charming Scottish Islands in sight.

There are so many small villages to explore and you should take the time to stroll through them and really feel the atmosphere of these gems. Also not to be forgotten en route are the many whisky distilleries to be found around the country where you can sample the whisky and see how it is made – though not if you are driving!

There are also many historic castles to be found around Scotland which deserve a visit such as Glamis Castle and the beautiful Eilean Donan Castle.
